All couples getting married at St. Joan of Arc or St. Louise de Marillac Parish must participate in an approved Catholic Marriage Preparation Program, or Pre Cana Program (in addition to their meetings with the parish priest or deacon), which should be scheduled to be completed 6 months prior to your wedding date.
This is a program designed to prepare couples for the Sacrament of Marriage. Pre Cana gets its name from the wedding feast that Jesus attended in John’s gospel. Our program is staffed by one of the parish priests and a number of married couples from the parish. The program is designed to stimulate discussion between an engaged couple about subjects that may influence and enhance their marriage. Some time is spent in discussion with married couples who share their perspectives on married life. This program is meant to strengthen the couples’ commitment to the Sacrament of Marriage.
Our next class will be on April 9 and 10, 2021 (Friday and Saturday) via Zoom. The cost is $35 per couple which includes a book for each participant. The schedule is as follows:
Friday, April 9
Saturday, April 10
